Why did my clipping job fail?
Most failures are the source being unreachable rather than anything about the clipping itself: a private or region-locked video, a deleted VOD, or a link the platform is throttling.
Check the source first
Open the link in a private browsing window while signed out. If you cannot watch it there, we cannot download it either. Private videos, members-only uploads, region-locked content and expired VODs all fail for this reason.
Twitch VODs in particular expire on a schedule set by the streamer's subscription tier, so a link that worked last month may simply no longer exist.
Check the file
For uploads, confirm the file is MP4, MOV, WEBM, MKV or AVI and under 35 GB. A file that will not play locally will not process here either; a partially downloaded or interrupted export is a common culprit.
If the source is fine
A failed job does not consume your allowance. If the source is definitely reachable and the job still fails, contact support with the job and we will look at the logs directly. Include the link you used, because the failure is almost always visible in how the download behaved.
The free tier covers 60 minutes of source video a month, no card required.
