How many clips will I get from my video?
As many as the video earns. A 10-minute video typically returns around three. The count is never a quota you are spending down, because you are billed for the minutes you upload rather than the clips that come out.
How the number is decided
The maximum available scales with the length of the source: it is worked out in 15-minute blocks, so a longer video can yield more clips than a short one.
Within that ceiling, the model returns every genuine standout it finds and nothing that does not earn its place. Short videos are often dense with postable moments, which is why a 10-minute upload commonly comes back with about three.
Why you sometimes get fewer
When a stretch of footage genuinely has nothing worth posting in it, you get fewer clips rather than filler. That is deliberate. Padding the output with weak clips would waste the thing you actually came for, which is judgement about what is worth cutting.
If you consistently get fewer clips than you expected from content you know is good, try a prompt describing the kind of moment you want. It biases the selection without overriding it.
The free tier covers 60 minutes of source video a month, no card required.
