Deleting Your Data

How to delete your OptimusClips account, or remove a connected social account and everything we hold for it.

You can delete your data yourself at any time, without contacting us. There are two routes depending on how much you want removed. Both take effect immediately.

This page describes the same rights set out in section 11C of our Privacy Policy.

1. Disconnect a single social account

Use this if you want to keep your OptimusClips account but stop us publishing to a connected YouTube, Instagram or TikTok account.

  1. Sign in and go to the Social page.
  2. Find the connected account and choose Disconnect.

Disconnecting immediately deletes the stored access token for that account and cancels any posts still queued for it. We keep no further ability to access or publish to that account.

You can also revoke our access from the platform's own settings, independently of us: Google and YouTube at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and Instagram and TikTok through the equivalent controls in their own account settings.

2. Delete your entire OptimusClips account

Use this if you want everything removed.

  1. Sign in and go to the Profile page.
  2. Scroll to Delete account and confirm when prompted.

Deleting your account does all of the following:

  • Cancels any active subscription.
  • Deletes every connected social account and its stored access tokens.
  • Cancels all queued posts.
  • Deletes the videos and clips we hold for you from our storage.
  • Removes your personal details from our records.

A limited amount of transaction data may be retained where we are legally required to keep it, such as records needed for tax and accounting. This is described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Ask us to do it for you

If you cannot sign in, or you would rather we handled it, email support@optimusclips.com from the address on your account and tell us what you want deleted. We will confirm once it is done.

If you are asking about data connected to a specific social account, include the platform and the handle so we can identify it.

4. Data obtained from connected platforms

We request only the minimum access needed to publish on your behalf: your account identity, so we can show you which account is connected, and permission to publish video to it. We do not read your private videos, comments, messages, follower lists or earnings data.

Data obtained through YouTube API Services is deleted, or refreshed from the API, no later than 30 days after it is collected, and is deleted immediately when you disconnect the account or delete your OptimusClips account.
